Exercise 4: About the change of seasons
The overall concept of the "Four Seasons" project is that I will use the camera to fly through functions in 3D space to complete this dynamic video. The difficulty of this project is the visual representation of the four seasons, as well as the choice of dynamics. The "Four Seasons" project also adds audio clips in comparison to other projects. So I chose the music with a strong sense of rhythm and distinct drumbeats, which is to facilitate the visual dynamics with the audio adjustment.
The elements and principles of design will be used in many ways. In the elements of plants and trees, I can use the translation, scaling, rotation, and other basic functions. In character sports, take the winter skier as an example, and I can use the puppet feature that I learned about in Horse Sports. When it's raining, it's dropping leaves, it's snowing, I can use particle systems. When the camera to fly through functions in 3D space, I can use camera features and long lenses, and even add lighting effects.
As a graphic design student, I've always wanted to incorporate my professional content into motion design. I used the "Four Seasons" illustration as the background and elements for this video. Enough layers of overlapping elements will allow me to use the camera fly through functions in 3D space. I wanted to use the long lens to stretch and move through the seasons. In addition to that, I'm going to add a few words to the title of this video.
I think this format has had two positive effects on me. First of all, I was able to integrate the learning from the previous weeks. Secondly, I think the completion of this project will be helpful for me and improve my graphic design ability in the future, for example in the design of motion logos and brand's videos.
